Bybit Trading Journal Integration

Connect Bybit to Tiltless with a read-only API key. Pull USDT perpetual, inverse perpetual, spot, and options fills into one journal. Track funding rates, copy trading performance, and fees without granting trading permissions.

Read-Only API Connection

Tiltless connects to Bybit using a read-only API key. No trading, withdrawal, or transfer permissions are required.

To connect: go to Bybit > Account & Security > API Management > Create New Key. Choose 'System-generated API Keys.' Under permissions, select only 'Read-Only' access. Optionally bind the key to your IP address for additional security. Paste the key and secret into Tiltless.

What Tiltless Tracks from Bybit

Tiltless pulls execution data across all Bybit product types for post-trade review.

  • USDT Perpetual fills: price, quantity, side, leverage, and realized PnL
  • Inverse Perpetual fills: settled in BTC/ETH with USD equivalent tracking
  • Spot fills: price, quantity, side, timestamp, and trading pair
  • Options fills: strike, expiry, premium, and underlying reference price
  • Funding rate payments on all perpetual positions — paid and received
  • Fees per fill with maker/taker breakdown and fee tier detection

Unified Trading Account Support

Bybit's Unified Trading Account (UTA) consolidates spot, derivatives, and options under a single margin pool. Tiltless imports all product types from UTA into one journal, preserving the product-level detail you need for review.

If you use a Classic Account with separate wallets for spot and derivatives, Tiltless handles that too — both structures map to the same journal schema.

Funding Rates and Trading Costs

Funding payments are the largest hidden cost for perpetual traders on Bybit. Tiltless tracks every funding settlement on your USDT and Inverse perpetual positions.

Your journal shows funding drag per trade and across your portfolio. Combined with fee tracking, you get a clear picture of total execution cost — not just realized PnL.

CSV Import Alternative

Export your Bybit trade history as a CSV from Orders > Trade History and upload it to Tiltless. This covers spot and derivatives orders.

CSV import is useful for backfilling trades from before your API connection, or for a one-time import without ongoing sync.

A Review Workflow for Bybit Traders

Bybit traders often run perpetual positions alongside spot holdings and sometimes copy trades from other traders. The review workflow should separate product types, then look for behavioral patterns that cut across them.

  • Split reviews by product: USDT perps, inverse perps, spot, and options each have different cost structures
  • Track funding drag separately from realized PnL — winning trades can be net-negative after funding
  • Review copy trading performance: which strategies are you following, and are they beating your own setups?
  • Compare maker vs taker fill ratios — Bybit's fee tiers reward limit orders significantly
  • Tag trades by setup quality and time-of-day to identify when your edge is strongest

Security and Permissions

API credentials are encrypted at rest and never leave Tiltless infrastructure. The key only requires read-only access — the most restrictive permission level Bybit offers.

For additional security, bind the API key to your IP address in Bybit's API settings. You can revoke the key from Bybit at any time. Tiltless will stop syncing and retain the data already imported.
